BioI'm Alice, a 29-year-old post-doc at the University of a Certain Huge State School, heretofore known as UCHSS, working on a training grant in natural language processing and teaching Introduction to Statistics. I'm happily escape from my home state of Texas, and I now live somewhere Far, Far From You. Among my more unusual interests is my collection of rare/unusual/nifty footwear. My proudest pair is a a set of cherry-red snakeskin cowboy boots. Unfortunately, I can't really wear them to work. (I'm pretty good at hiding my Harry Potter obsession from them, too). Otherwise, I'm uninteresting: move along.
